Having lived in our home for 40 years, but not yet ready to leave it, we consulted with Positive Living Solutions for suggestions how to make our home safer for us. Using their training and experience, they helped us evaluate the areas that could be modified and provided the names of providers who could carry out the work. The modifications were handled efficiently and in a manner that improves the safety of the home without sacrificing the aesthetics of the architecture. We will rely on Positive Living Solutions to help guide us when we need further adjustments. They are a marvelous resource and we recommend them most highly.

I so appreciated your professional eyes on the safety of my home. Besides being 75, I’ve been diagnosed with CIDP where symptoms are similar to MS. So the full home safety check is even more important. You were thorough. I was in pretty good shape, but you made some suggestions that I never would have thought of. I’m so glad you checked out my full home and I feel safe and comfortable here.

Positive Living Solutions did a very thorough assessment of our house to understand all the factors that could potentially cause my father to fall. They talked to him and my mother, inspected all the places he usually moves and pointed out immediate things we could do and also longer term issues. They also gave me the name of a contractor who could help make some of the modifications. Thank you!

We discovered Positive Living Solutions LLC while doing research to help some close family of ours who had some recent health related events. They performed a complete home assessment and modification plan. This included a detailed report noting findings based on their expertise and training in Gerontology, Aging in Place, and Home Modification and methods such as universal design. This was supported by their HCPs including OT/PT/nursing. Areas of change included ergonomics/environment such as a stair lift, grab bars, single floor living, footwear, mobility devices such as walkers. They delivered the advice with humor and emotional intelligence which improved user acceptance. The end result was a reduction in risk of falls and other accidents and improved health markers and the family member said they found this very helpful.
